Come join your fellow ITE colleagues on Thursday, July 11 from 8 am to 10 am for an urban adventure through Baltimore by bike! Enjoy some exercise while exploring the bicycle infrastructure along the city streets such as a bike boulevard, innovative traffic calming/diverting techniques, wayfinding signs, intersection bike boxes, contraflow bike lanes, bike trails, and more.
We will start the tour in Federal Hill, travel north to Guilford Avenue to tour the City’s first bike boulevard from Mt. Royal Ave to 33rd St, travel west through John Hopkins University to Wyman Park Drive, continue to the Jones Falls Trail (from Falls Road to Maryland Ave) and back to Federal Hill. The entire tour will take about 2 hours.
We will meet around 8:00 am at Light Street Cycles, where you can bring your own bike or rent one for $30. The event is free otherwise, and PDH’s will likely be available.
