Autonomous Shuttle Demo at Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall

The Olli Autonomous Vehicle Pilot Program is on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBM-HH) from June 19 to September 19, 2019. Research is being conducted by the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center.  A special offer is being made available to ITE members to participate in a demonstration, which will take place at JBM-HH on August 9, 2019, from 9:00-11:00 AM in the parking lot across from the Spates Community Club. Additional information on this program can be found at JBM-HH AV Pilot.

Anyone interested in riding the Olli must fill out a waiver – please visit the Olli website to do so (please contact us directly if you have any issues accessing this web page).  Please also fill out the form to get on base – the form can be found on the JBM-HH Page.  You can get a one-day pass (using 8/9/2019 as the date) and print it yourself to access the base.  You must do this four working days prior to the event. If you do not get the pass four days prior, you can pre-fill the Access Control Form on the website and bring it with you on August 9.

Directions and Base Entry Instructions:

Everyone must enter the base from the Hatfield Gate. If you use Waze navigation, search for “JB Myer-Henderson Hall Hatfield Gate.” The security officer at the gate will direct you to the visitor security building. Once you get a visitor parking pass, drive through the 2nd security point, which is a white tent.

Upon passing that white tent, turn right, go straight in the left lane, then turn left onto McNair Road. Proceed to the parking lot on your right, across from the Spates Community Club. The map below shows the location of Spates Hall.

Please plan to arrive early and allow extra time for entering the base and joining the group participating in the demonstration. Rides will begin at 9:00 AM.
