The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) is an international association of transportation professionals. Members are traffic engineers, transportation planners and other professionals who are responsible for meeting society’s needs for safe and efficient surface transportation through planning, designing, implementing, operating and maintaining surface transportation systems worldwide.

The Washington DC Section of ITE (WDCSITE) is a section under The Mid-Colonial District (aka District 2).

WDCSITE represents transportation professionals in Northern Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Election Timeline

Prior to July 1: The President appoints a Nominating Committee composed of three members.

Prior to September 15The nominating committee transmits its list of nominees to the Secretary-Treasurer.

Prior to October 1: Secretary-Treasurer sends the list of candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee to the members of the Section. Petitions signed by 25 or more can be received up until October 20.

Prior to November 1: Secretary-Treasurer sends the ballot to the members of the Section a list of the candidates nominated by the Nominating Committee.
