CHART and ITS Presentation Abstract:
The CHART (Coordinated Highways Action Response Team) is the highway operations element of the Maryland’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) program. This presentation will look at the mission of the program, its components, its interactions with local jurisdictions and neighboring states. Also the presentation will portray the latest technologies that the program uses to meet its mission, goals and objectives. It will also look at how the program has evolved since the advent of the ITS era in 1991 and will examine the impact of future potential technologies.
